Spring break is over and we are all back into the daily grind. I am teaching , Garett is getting ready for STARR Testing, and the big guy is flying out to Florida for a CFA Conference. School will be out before we know it. This time of year brings out the Spring Cleaning bug and "hey we need a fresh start" feeling.
My kids are getting older and even my grand kids are getting to that crazy teen age stage. The smallest is finding her way at 3 years of age and just seems to embrace it all with great wonder and curiosity. Life is pretty good and I feel fortunate to be able to share it with my family and extended family. Everyone was at the house yesterday for Easter, my daughter and her family including her mother-in-law, and our small group of three. It was very nice and I enjoyed it very much.
We ate, had an Easter egg hunt, played some sort of crazy ball game, but most of all we laughed. We had great conversation and we took time to be together as a family. These are the days we appreciate and should truly have more of. However, we get caught up in our busy schedules and great intentions get lost. Thank God for holidays and the opportunity to gather together and share with one another. Conversations run from Politics to dieting to "stains" and bumble bees, we are a mix bag of interesting conversation and home spun laughter.
