A New Year

It has been an interesting 2009. Lots of changes have occurred and many although quite painful, have provided growth. They say we learn the most from lessons that bring us to our knees, and it is where we decide to turn at that point that directs out path.

I have done a great deal of soul searching, and then made some tough decisions, and it has been a great year since that time. I am no longer afraid of my past and what it can do to me, I faced it and dealt with it. I looked at all of the lies and half truths of my life, and decided to free myself from them, why?

Who can live with skeletons in their closet, just waiting for someone to expose them, threaten you with them, and beat you over the head with every mistake you have made? No one can. We all make mistakes, we all fall short of expectations, and we all have to face the truth, make a choice to be honest, ask forgiveness, make changes and then MOVE ON!

SO, because I have done all of these things, I can go into 2010 FREE, and I thank God for that blessing every day. A Free 2010.

My family structure has changed as my "live-in" partner and I laid our lives out to be examined and hurt each other terribly by our truths. We have worked together to change, appreciate, and develop stronger relationships through honesty for our son's sake. It is working. Honesty, it is a powerful word and provides the soul with so much peace. I needed it.

So, 2010 will bring many changes for us as we face a different life than we have known, but it will be better because it comes with the peace of mind that honesty and no secrets brings.

With God all things are possible, I needed help and He walked me all the way through the steps of what I had to do, confession is good for the soul. My grandma use to say that God sees around corners that we do not. Well, I didn't see this coming, it happened almost as quickly as I asked God to handle it. Seek and ye shall find, Knock and the door shall be opened.

Honesty, don't ever underestimate it's value.
