Our Hotels In Italy: Let's Start With Rome!

It has been fun to post pictures of our hotel choices which were prebooked . You are never sure how well you have done with your research until you arrive, a bit scary I would say! :)

Hotel #1 in ROME was Hotel Nord Nuova Roma, parking, wifi, breakfast all included in price, plus close to the Metro stop. That was my criteria this is how it turned out..we were happy.

One side of the room, this room was a triple and pretty standard for European travel. Now for the other side...

The other twin..and door to bathroom, the object to the left is an armoir and next to that an alcove window view of the street below...lovely!

We arrived after a 12 hour flight...I was tired! lol

This is part of the rooftop Terrace where light sandwiches and drinks are served. Perfect for a nightcap after a long day of walking and site seeing; really very inviting.

Complimentary breakfast...it was plentiful and good.

Around the corner..maybe 12 steps..this is the night scene it is safe and wonderful and has plenty of restaurants, and small eateries. And 2 very short blocks from here barely a five minute walk is..the Metro and the Beautiful Republica.

The steps to the left are the Metro and from here you can go anywhere in Rome ..Spanish Steps, Vatican City, Fountain of Trevi, and all for 1 euro per person; what a deal!

A night view
4 days were not enough..Rome is an enchanting city. I would love to return and share this city with extended members of my family. Ahhhh..now on to Sorrento and the Grand Hotel Hermitage
